Diggers 1st Division Soccer Team - 1963

The 1963 Diggers 1st Division team was a strong team featuring several sets of brothers, including the three Davis boys, Les, Ken and Ron as Manager. In fact, the four Davis brothers had played together in earlier years, before the youngest brother Roy (a talented goalkeeper) was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident. Ron, Les and Ken were all predominately left-footed players who all represented Bundaberg and combined well with each other and the other members of the team.

The Diggers strip at that time was maroon and white stripes.
