Social Rides
Sunday morning rides start 6:30am (both Summer & Winter)
from Riverside Parklands, Quay St, Bundaberg. Group travels to
Burnett Heads and Coral Cove.
Please remember we don’t own the roads - we share them with the
traffic so ride safe and sensible and look after each other –
we’ll all enjoy riding together.

The strong wind and rain made for a very difficult race. All
handicapped groups were working well together until dark clouds
appeared with 10 laps to finish. The heavy rain caused
organisers to reduce the race to 2 laps with the front markers
of Dale Mitchell and Karen Allan keeping their distance to take
first and second respectively. Toby Boylan took third place.

The strong breeze was still present on Saturdays race however
the rain was mostly avoided. The 3 groups stayed together for
the first half of the race, however the middle group (Bernie
Kemps, Terry Lewis, Peter Scanlan & Rob Bainbridge) were caught
by the scratch group (Damian Pardon, John Hampson, Arthur Puie &
Niel Sauer) with 10 laps to go. A strong final effort was put in
to the last 4 laps by the combined group, however the front
markers were not caught. Dale Mitchell and Karen Allan worked
strongly together for the entire race with Karen Allan taking
first and Dale Mitchell second. John Hampson was the first home
from the combined group followed closely by Damian Pardon who
has returned to racing with fresh legs.
