Eleven year old youngster Jarrod Crook is certainly an all round
sportsman. Jarrod a member of the Hawks under 11 Touch Football team has
represented Bundaberg in Touch and Cricket as well as representing
Bundaberg and Wide Bay in Rugby League.
The Walkervale State School student is a keen Broncos supporter and
Darren Lockyer fan who seems to handle the legendary “Jagger” with ease.

Jordan Winning

At the ripe old age of six, Jordan Winning is a veteran of the
Milo Have a Go Cricket program, this being his third year with
program organiser Noel Stitt. The Wongarra State School student
is a keen swimmer with backstroke his preferred stroke and plays
soccer at school.
Jordan is the youngest rev head to appear as a “Cold Rock Star”
naming Ford driver Craig Lowndes as his favourite sportsman.

Jesse Richardson

Jesse Richardson like his father Artie and uncles Chad and John
plays for Brothers in local cricket. The nine year old plays in
the under 10’s and remains not out in 2007 top scoring on
Saturday with 24 not out, an innings which included four 4’s.
Not surprisingly he list Aussie opener Matt Hayden as his
favourite sportsperson.

Brock Aldridge

Seven year old St. Patrick’s grade 1 student Brock Aldridge is
the first Touch Football "Cold Rock" star, and a member of the
Shaun Parter coached Tigers under 7 mixed team. Schoolmates
Kristin Binnie and Lachlan Dempsey are team mates. Brock enjoys
the pace of the game especially the running around the field.
The passionate Broncos supporter is also a keen soccer player
and played for Across the Waves this year.

Dean Alexander

Ten year old Dean Alexander played his first game of Indoor
Cricket on Thursday and loved it. His team Bullets played out an
86-86 draw against the Broncos at the Bundaberg Indoor Sports
Centre with Dean playing his part scoring 9 runs from his two
overs and a nett -14 from his bowling.
Dean’s grandfather Merv was one of the first to play Indoor
Cricket in Bundaberg when he padded up at the centre in Verdant
Siding almost twenty five year ago. The North Bundaberg Primary
School student also played League for Brothers this year.

Teila Hagedorn

Teila Hagedorn plays second base for West Ocelots in the local
competition and particularly likes scoring bases and looks
forward to hitting her first home run.. The thirteen year old
Bundaberg High student is a keen swimmer with backstroke her
favourite stroke.
Teila also has a passion for Netball and no doubt her love of
Netball had a bearing on her naming of Australian Netball
captain Liz Ellis as her favourite player.

Jane Rohdmann

Nine year old Jane Rohdmann is the latest
Cold Rock Star. The Branyan Road State School student plays
indoor netball because “it keeps you fit”. Jane is influenced by
mum and dad when it comes to her sport, following Mum into
Netball and her Dad into BMX where number 30 can be seen tearing
around the track. Next year Jane will don the superstripes of
Bingera when she takes to the soccer fields.
Australian Netball captain Liz Ellis is Jane’s favourite
sportsperson who also admits to being a Broncos and Darren
Lockyer fan.

Samuel Monk

Samuel Monk is a six year old North Bundaberg Primary School
student playing his first season of soccer. Samuel began playing
soccer when his futsal team folded and is a member of Brothers
Aston Villa Mites in the under 7 rooball division.
Like most youngsters Samuel just loves scoring goals and playing
in the same team as class mate Eden Stallard. Samuel also enjoys
swimming and is currently having lessons and is a Cowboys
supporter and Matt Bowen fan.

Lachlin Praed

Lachlin Praed was introduced to the sport of hockey by his aunt
Kim Cottrell, and the twelve year old is captain of the Rovers
under 12’s and plays up an age group in the under 14’s. Lachlin,
one of four school captains at Avoca State School represented
Wide Bay Schoolboys at the State Championships this year. He
also plays touch football and cricket, naming Brett Lee as his
favourite sportsperson.
Away from the sports fields Lachlin is a keen tap dancer with
the TNT Dance School and plays the drums in the Bundaberg
Municipal Band.

Sarah Dimes
Eleven
year old Sarah Dimes loves her sport and is in her second year
of Netball playing senior nippers with “Billabong”. Sarah who
represented Bundaberg this year prefers playing wing attack or
goal defence not surprisingly names Vikki Wilson as her
favourite sportsperson.
Sarah, a keen dancer also plays Squash, Touch Football and Rugby
certainly leads an active life.

Kurt Reed
Thirteen
year old ATW United footballer Kurt Reed is a smart player,
smart enough to name his Coach Noel Stitt as his favourite all
time player. Kurt, a right back, has played the game since under
7’s and has represented Bundaberg for the last three years.
Kurt a keen life saver and a member of the Bundaberg Surf Life
Saving is the latest addition to the “Cold Rock” Stars
14th July

Erin Parsons
Erin (10), is enjoying her fourth year playing Netball and
followed mum Louise, a keen indoor netballer into the game. Erin
plays in the Intermediate Nippers competition with the
Thunderbirds, and is also a keen soccer player and plays
regularly at her school, Avoca Primary.
An avid reader, Erin is currently absorbed in the latest Harry
Potter novel.

Michelle Rekow

Michelle Rekow likes netball because it is a fun game and she
has made a lot of new friends. Not only is Michelle a
representative netballer, she has also represented Bundaberg in
Athletics at shot-put A keen Broncos supporter, Michelle also
plays Softball with United.
Michelle’s favourite subject at school is French and she
particularly likes story writing, and is netballs cold rock star
this week.
2nd June
Caleb Gregory

Caleb Gregory, a ten year old playing for Gin Gin Football Club
is a Cold Rock Star this week. Caleb coached by Dale Smith is in
his first season with Gin Gin having played for the past three
years at Donalson on the Central Coast of NSW.
Caleb lists Mark Schwartzer as his favourite player and when
asked why he was so passionate about soccer, stated simply
“because I am good at it". Caleb has an older brother Izaak (12)
who also plays for Gin Gin.

Ethan Baldry

Ethan Baldry (8) is enjoying his first year of Rugby League,
playing with the ATW Under 8’s in the Mini-Mod League.
Ethan played soccer in 2006, no doubt influenced by his dad
Daniel a former Bingera player, but decided to join his
mates playing League. Ethan like many of his peers likes
tackling and the physical side of the game.
Ethan is also keen on Moto X and has his own track set up on
Mum and Dad’s block at Arcadia Park. Ethan joins the Cold
Rock Stars this week.

Joshua Hull

Joshua Hull (6) plays soccer for Moore Park, just like his
dad Craig. Joshua is in his third year in the game and plays
for Moore Park Rippers in the Under 8’s. Joshua lists Harry
Kewell as his favourite player and is also a Cowboys
supporter and Matt Bowen fan.
Joshua, a keen fisherman is this weeks Cold Rock star.

Kadin Paul

Seven year old Kadin Paul is a keen member of the Isis
Redbacks under 8’s, while his sister Sheena plays with the
under 17 Girls team. The Childers State School student is a
keen striker who also likes goal keeping. Kadin is a keen
sportsperson and plays cricket and rugby league at school
and names Broncos star Darren Lockyer as his favourite
sports star. Kadin’s team coached by Rick Fennessy had a 5-4
win over Brothers Aston Villa on Saturday,

Thomas Rea

Brothers youngster Thomas Rea has the
pedigree for Rugby League. Dad Michael, Uncle Tony and
Grandfather John were all fine exponents of the game, though
Brothers stalwart Greg Appo says Thomas (7) has made more
tackles in his short spell than Michael did in a long career.
Thomas plays for Brothers White under 7’s, love tackling the
opposition and is in his second year in the game.

Ebony Bunnett
Ebony
Bunnett (11) plays senior Nippers Netball as a member of the Rip
Curl team and is in her second year in the game. The Norville
student likes the fitness aspect of the game and the fact she
has friend like Brooke Silcox who also play netball. Ebony
encourages more kids, boys included to get involved in her
favourite sport. Ebony is a Bundaberg Representative player as
well as being a keen gymnast.

Jack Lutter
Jack Lutter
One
would have to wonder how eight year old Jack finds time to
attend St Johns Lutheran Primary School. A keen sportsman, Jack
plays Softball (ATW) Touch (Thunder) Tennis and loves the Milo
“Have a Go” cricket program at the ATW grounds on Mondays. A
keen swimmer Jack will compete in his first carnival next
Tuesday.
While not playing Rugby League yet, Jack is a Melbourne Storm
fan who named Willie Mason as his favourite sportsman.
30th November
Cody Maughan

Cody Maughan is a ten year old who loves Rugby League and
Cricket. Cody a member of the ATW Blue team in the local
competition has a top score of 28, while his best with the ball
is 2-36.
The Branyan State School youngster plays league with Eastern
Suburbs and like many of his friends is a Broncos supporter and
named Justin Hodges as his favourite sportsperson.
17th November
Boyd Smith

Thirteen year old Walkervale student Boyd Smith loves his
cricket. An all rounder, Boyd has a top score of 37 (retired)
with 3-28 from ten overs his best with the ball. The Wide Bay
representative plays for Brothers in the local under 14
competition and named Brad Hodge as his favourite cricketer.
Boyd is also a representative Soccer player who plays for ATW
locally and an Eels supporter.
3rd November
Tyla Hodge

Eleven year old Tyla Hodge along with
Norville school mate Lachlan Stitt plays with Knights in the
10-11 boys Touch competition.
Tyla, a keen Rugby League exponent plays with Brothers in the
local competition and has represented Bundaberg and Wide Bay as
lock forward. While a Broncos supporter Tyla says the Bulldogs
Sonny Bill Williams is his favourite player. The keen sportsman
also plays Soccer with Brothers Aston Villa as well as Futsal.

Chase Connelly

Chase Connelly is a 9 year grade 4 Walkervale State School.
student who absolutely loves his sport.
An avid softball player with Western Suburbs in the under 12's
Chase is a pitcher who enjoys playing anywhere on the diamond.
He also plays soccer with North Bundaberg and scored his share
of goals this year this year and hopes to play representative
soccer in 2008. Liverpool is his favourite football team, with
Harry Kewell his idol. Chase also plays futsal in the Childers
comp. as well as the junior competition in Bundaberg.
Chase likes his Rugby League and is a Titans supporter and Billy
Slater fan

Brock Catasti

Six year old Brock Catasti has been looking forward to his
second season of “Milo have a go Cricket” and was one of the
early birds at the first session at the ATW ground in Thabeban
on Monday. Brock particularly likes hitting the ball as far as
he can. Despite admitting to being a Cowboys fan Brock named
Ricky Ponting and Darren Lockyer as his favourite sportsmen.
Brock likes his sport and also participated in rhe “Aus Kick”
AFL program earlier this year. Mum Shelley was impressed with
the format of both “Milo have a go Cricket” and “Aus Kick” which
allowed the kids to have a go and have fun without the regimen
and team structure required in some of the other sports.

Matthew Bailey

Matthew Bailey, a seven year old Norville Primary School Student
loves his sport. On Saturday Matthew played his part in West
Panthers win over ATW in their under 10’s Cricket clash at
Kendall Flats scoring nine runs and taking two wickets with his
medium pacer.
Matthew is a keen golfer and athlete with a preference for high
jump and named Glen McGrath as his favourite sports person.

Pagan Rosser

Pagan Rosser loves her time at Little A’s at the Thabeban
Primary School on a Saturday morning. The four year old joined
Claudine and Reuben Coleman in the events designed particularly
for “Tiny Tots”. Pagan who followed older brother Bryce into
Little A’s says her favourite events were throwing and jumping.
This busy young “Miss” is a keen dancer and a student with
Michele Bates and is the youngest "Cold Rock Star” to date. Well
done Pagan.

Caleb Milton Hallam

Seven year old Caleb Milton Hallam is in his second year of
Soccer and plays with Burnett Heads in the under 7 rooball
grade. Caleb followed mum Rochelle into the sport and enjoys the
team spirit of the game.
Like a lot his age Caleb is a Broncos fan who also enjoys riding
his bmx bike.

Tiffany Buckler

Tiffany Buckler is the first T-baller to become a “Cold Rock
Star”. The six year old West Primary School pupil followed
Brother Aiden into the sport and will play with United each
Saturday.
Tiffany is so keen on the sport that she has a tee set up at
home so she can practice her hits. This versatile Miss is also a
keen tap dancer and trains in karate at the PCYC.

Sam Groom

As well as having a passion for Soccer, ten year old Sam Groom
plays Touch and is a “nipper” with the Moore Park SLSC. Sam’s
coach at Diggers Bonnie Robson said “Sam is a strong team player
who always gives 100%, and while not particularly keen on
goalkeeping filled the position capably on Saturday, and was
named man of the match”.
Sam will be a member of the Thabeban Primary School team at the
upcoming Holden Maryborough Technology Challenge and is hopeful
of a good performance with their solar powered boat.
Like many youngsters Sam is a Broncos supporter and A Matt Bowen
fan.

James Alexander

James Alexander, a year 3 student at St. Patrick’s plays soccer
with Brothers Aston Villa Astros because it is fun, and is in
his second year in the game. James, son of former NRL referee
Rob is a Broncos supporter and watches their games on TV with
his dad and is a Darren Lockyer fan.
A keen cricketer as well, James is looking forward to “have a
go” cricket commencing after the soccer season finishes.
James is the latest member of the “Cold Rock Stars”.

Kelvin Pimm

Kelvin is another Brothers
youngster with a league pedigree, following dad Aaron into
the sport. Kelvin is in his 1st season of Rugby
League playing for the Brothers U/7 Blue team. What he loves
most about playing footy is scoring tries and Kelvin managed
one Saturday against ATW in the game at Childers.
He also loves to watch the NRL and State of Origin on TV,
his favourite teams are the Titans and Queensland and he was
lucky enough to attend the Cowboys - Sharks match while in
Townsville two weeks ago. Kelvin’s favourite players are
Manu Vatuvei (Warriors) and Matty Bowen (Cowboys). Other
sports Kelvin enjoys are Tennis and swimming.
Kelvin is a Cold Rock Star this week.

Jacob Vacher

Jacob Vacher joins the Cold Rock Stars. Jacob 8 plays with the
Bingera under 8’s; along with best mate Connor
Rogers. A keen striker Jacob scored in their 4 all draw with
Bargara on Saturday.
While soccer is his number 1 sport, Jacob plays Touch Football
and T-Ball at school, and also enjoys riding his Kawasaki 50.
Like many other youngsters Jacob is a Broncos supporter and
Darren Lockyer fan.

Josh Siever

Josh and his family have recently moved from
the Sunshine Coast to Bargara and Josh answered a call from the
Burnett Sea Eagles and now is a member of the under 7 team. Josh
is in his first year in the game and is a keen follower of the
sport, along with dad Simon. A keen Panthers and Titans fan,
Josh is coached by Ken O’Connor, whose son Jake is also in the
team along with best mate is Reece Clark.

Stephanie Kaye

Ten year old Stephanie Kaye is in her first season of Netball in
Bundaberg and played in the Nippers on Saturday. Stephanie had
played for three years in Albury NSW previously. Sisters
Ashleigh (13) plays for ATW while younger sister Lauren (8) also
plays Nippers. Stephanie has been selected in the Bundaberg
under 11 Representative Team and opted for Liz Ellis as her
favourite sportsperson.
A keen dancer and a member of the TNT Dance Studio, Stephanie is
a Cold Rock Star this week.

Joshua Barlow

Six year old Joshua is enjoying his second year with
Diggers Green in the under 7 competition and is coached by dad
Paul. He and best mate Kane Stephenson were rapped after their
big win over ATW on Saturday.
Joshua and Paul, both fierce competitors, have their own goal
scoring competition under way and not surprisingly Joshua leads
10-7 at the moment.
Joshua, a keen lifesaver and Cowboys fan is a Cold Rock
Star this week.

Josh Robertson

Josh Robertson like a lot of six year olds playing Rugby League
is a mad Bronco’s supporter and Darren Lockyer fan and Josh
watches the Broncos games on TV when possible. Josh plays for
the Wests Panthers and is learning a lot about the game from his
Coach Bill Morrison. The Panthers played Brothers on Saturday.
5th May
Nicholas Masnada
Seven
years old Nicholas Masnada is as keen as it gets when it comes
to hockey. Not only did Nicholas play in the under 8’s
on Saturday he backed up in the under 12’s later in
the day.
Nicholas’s brother Matthew also played in the under 12’s.
Nicholas said that hockey was fun and he loved scoring goals. He
scored two in the under 8’s for his club Rovers on
Saturday, with his best performance to date fourteen goals in
the one game. Nicholas said he looked forward to playing each
week with mates like Jordan.

Joshua Clarke
Youngster
Joshua Clarke is another playing his first season of Soccer
this year. He and best mate Nathan Millis will line up for the
North Bundaberg Falcons against Isis on Saturday in the Under 6's.
Like most budding soccer players Joshua just wants to score
goals, and plenty of them. Josh is coached by grandfather Ian
(Poppy) Clarke who finds himself back coaching after having
coached son Craig at this age about thirty years ago.
Not surprisingly Joshua’s all time favourite player is Dad
Craig.
All the best in 2007 to Joshua and his team mates.

Jack Larter

Six year old Jack Larter is in his second
year or Rugby League and his first with Brothers. Jack and his
cousin Lachlan Lewis are in the Brothers under 7 team and are
coached by Club stalwart Aaron Pimm. Jack likes the idea of
scoring tries and is looking forward to scoring his first,
hopefully today.
